Plain-English definitions of the terms you'll see while playing Pinpoint, listed alphabetically.
A single square on the grid representing one price band at one moment in the near future. Clicking a cell places a pick and locks that cell's multiplier. See: Understanding the grid.
A free top-up of 200 virtual coins you can claim once per day to keep playing without spending anything. See: Coins and progression.
Three objectives offered each day based on your real settled and open picks. Completing a task lets you claim a reward of coins and XP, and the tasks refresh daily.
The pricing model Pinpoint uses: the multiplier on a cell is locked the instant you place your pick and does not change afterward, no matter how the price line moves.
Pinpoint costs nothing to play. Every player starts with 1,000 virtual coins, and optional coin packs only top up your virtual balance — they are never required.
The full board of price × time cells that you play on, with a live price line sweeping across it from left to right. See: Understanding the grid.
Playing without creating an account. You can start immediately as a guest; linking an email later saves your progress across devices.
The moment a pick is resolved, about 15 seconds after it is placed. If the price line is inside your cell's price band at its target time, the pick wins; otherwise it loses your stake. See: How settlement works.
Rankings of players over rolling hourly and daily windows, sorted by net profit/loss, longest streak, and ROI.
The payout factor shown on a cell — your fixed odds. It ranges from about 1.05× up to 100×, with farther cells paying more because they are less likely to be hit. A win pays your stake multiplied by the locked multiplier.
A single play: choosing a cell and staking coins on it. Each pick locks its multiplier at the moment you click and is judged at its target time. See: Quick start.
The live line that moves across the grid tracking the market price. You win a pick if this line lands inside your cell's price band at judgement.
Pinpoint's core layout, where the vertical axis is price and the horizontal axis is time, so every cell is a specific price at a specific future moment. See: Understanding the grid.
A way to earn coins by inviting others. A new player who applies your invite code gets a 300-coin welcome bonus, and you earn a reward once they reach 10 settled picks.
The number of virtual coins you put on a pick. Your stake is the most you can lose on that pick — there is no leverage and no debt.
A count of your consecutive winning picks. It climbs with each win, marks milestone moments along the way, and resets to zero when a pick loses.
The in-game currency of Pinpoint. Coins have no cash value and cannot be redeemed, withdrawn, or exchanged for money, whether earned for free or bought in a coin pack.
